Mystery Mika usually leaves celebrity gossip for The View, however Showgirl Cadettes can learn from this. Besides why should I resist commenting on Britany Spears at the MTV Awards. All that sparkles does not turn up golden. Last night, was a very good example of a non performance.
It was as if the poor child was a first time stripper stuck on the fire pole. As a matter of fact, Spears may have done better to have had a pole to swing on. At least with a pole, she would have had a focal point. If she is going to dress like one of us, she should learn to bounce back like a real ass clapper!
The cameras were smart to pan the audience for signs of disappointment as Brittany Spears delivered the worst performance of her career. It was probably too soon for her to go on stage half naked. Maybe she is too stuck up to rehearse. Stage fright can happen to anyone.
Did she need the cash? Was she lonely? Maybe she was attempting to prove that she is 100% for the court.
A person must feel confident when most of their clothing is removed. Without confidence, you are not going to have much hooch to project into the audience. The strut only works if you believe that you are sexy.
This sort of thing makes you wonder who advises stars on wardrobe and choreography. Healing takes time. There is no rush to hop back on stage before you are ready unless your gas is turned off.
One difference between Performance Artist and Actor is that an Actor performs other people scripts. You become who the script tells you to become.
A Performance Artist works up a piece that suits themselves. Most Performance Artists use a mixture of props, Dialogue, their bodies and a set to expand upon an issue that has personal meaning. For example David Blaine, the performer/ illusionist who froze himself for 3 days in Times Square.
What on earth are these musicians doing these days with their stage show? Maybe I’m just getting old.
It would be nice to see Brittany Spears reinvented. She should take herself back to the classroom until she feels comfortable inside her own skin. Perhaps she will never be the same performer. We all have to grow up eventually.
It would be nice to hear her sing a song that needs to be sung. At least make up a new shimmy.
